Privacy policy
Information about data processing in the Quantyra Android app.
1. Controller
ScriptWorldX IT – Michael Schiefer, sole proprietorship, Niederweg 54, 50374 Erftstadt, Germany. Privacy contact: Michael.Schiefer@ScriptWorldX.de.
2. Local diagnostics
Quantyra reads technical device information to display system details and run diagnostics. Depending on the test you start, this may include manufacturer and model, Android version, CPU and memory, storage, display, battery, sensors, network status, Bluetooth status, mobile-network/SIM status, camera hardware and location-provider status. Diagnostic results are processed locally and are not uploaded unless you start the full benchmark described below.
3. Permissions
Camera, location, Bluetooth and phone-state permissions are requested only for the related user-initiated hardware test. Location coordinates are used only to verify the location provider and are not submitted to ScriptWorldX. You can deny or revoke permissions in Android settings.
4. Network tests and online ranking
The network diagnostic connects to Google and Cloudflare endpoints to measure availability, latency and throughput. These providers receive technically necessary connection data such as your IP address.
When you start and complete the full benchmark, the app sends a randomly generated installation identifier, device manufacturer/model/variant, Android version, supported CPU architectures, total RAM, app and benchmark version, detailed performance measurements and validation information to ScriptWorldX over HTTPS. The result is published in the public Quantyra ranking without a personal name. The legal basis is your requested use of the feature (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in providing a reliable comparative ranking (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
5. Storage and deletion
App settings and the random installation identifier remain on your device until app data is deleted or the app is uninstalled. Ranking records are retained for operation and comparability of the ranking. You may request deletion of a ranking record by emailing the privacy contact and providing the installation identifier or sufficient details to identify the record.
6. Server logs, recipients and transfers
ScriptWorldX servers process technically necessary access logs, including IP address, time, requested endpoint, status code and user agent, for secure service operation and abuse prevention. Hosting and IT service providers may process data on our behalf. Google and Cloudflare may process network-test connection data under their own privacy terms, potentially outside the EU/EEA subject to the safeguards applicable to those providers.
7. Your rights
Subject to the statutory requirements, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, objection and complaint to a supervisory authority. Contact us at the address above.
